I think this is an excellent way to get some perspective, figure out where to head, and as a general case study of previous technologies.

At around 08:00 he mentions something regarding gene sequencing being a huge upcoming market. This reminds me of something I had worked on last summer - nanopore sequencing. A fucking fascinating upcoming technology, but not one without issues.
